This is a good time to stock up on meds. These cruises are full of people who go to Mexico for this very reason. I did a 3 day cruise about 15 years ago out of Long Beach to Encinata which is like Tijuana by the sea. Left about sunset and woke up around midnight with alarms going off. Was it a "booze cruise" with a lot of drunks? They were all to the Caribbean. Different lines draw different clientele , you go on Carnival you get lots of kids and drunk assholes. Holland America was flawless from top to bottom ,impeccable food and staff ,Royal Caribbean was very nice over all as well. Carnival sucked. I get bored after 2 days. Due to the low cost of single occupancy - there are more 'stray' friends cruising in a group, but in a solo room.
