However, the newest activity claimed by several of informants were, they loved to search some photos by using hashtag while on Instagram. This is because, it can bring them to the exact photos, which they are looking for. In fact, the benefits of socializing in social media by LGBT community have more advantages than disadvantages. Being friend with like-minded people is beneficial towards LGBT community while socializing on social media, as they tend to seek for friends who shared the same mutual interest and understanding as they are.

Through the findings, social media was beneficial for them in terms of friendship. For instance, making friends with like-minded people, building relationships, reconnecting with old friends and able to add or follow new friends.
